15 April: Five photos showing work done on the upper storey and roof over the past few rainy days. There is a gorgeous smell of timber everywhere coming from walls, studs, joists, beams and rafters. Dotted around are wonderfully sophisticated cutting tools as well as basic hand saws.

28 April: During the past ten days, more timbers, insulation panels, liners and battens have been fitted. The electrician has threaded wires through a complicated system of holes in timbers and joists, and worked out where to put sockets and switches. More supplies have arrived on site, including many thousands of tiles. This contraption carries tiles up to where they will be needed.

28 April: The hanging tiles will be fixed to these battens.

28 April: Electrical wiring put in place.
28 April: This series of photos shows the wiring weaving its way through joists and emerging at outlets for power points and switches. Our electrician has fitted it all over the past three days.

30 April: Access into the roof space
30 April: Access into the roof space is from the main bedroom. (Access from the relatively small landing is not possible because of the positioning of structural beams.) The roof space is a lot bigger than it appears to be from the next three photos.

30 April: In just two days, good progress has been made on tiling the roof.

And that's it for April. Well ahead of schedule!
